One of IMTF's particular concerns is stimulating support for human and institutional capacity building efforts of grassroots music organisations. To enhance organisations’ self-sustainability, such support is provided for activities that help clarify strategic and organisational challenges and which are targeted toward developing or refining skills and systems. These activities concern for example professional development of key staff; resource, membership or communication development; or the improvement of financial and managerial processes.
