IMTF is internationally active as a catalyst for charitable giving to music. It works with and for donors and encourages strategic philanthropic investments in music.

With the mission to enrich lives through music, IMTF aims to advance strategic philanthropy and foster a vibrant and diverse music life.

IMTF creates impact and leverages resources for strengthening a vibrant and diverse music sector by identifying and creating opportunities where music philanthropists, investors and policy-makers can make a lasting and meaningful difference. IMTF provides music advisory services and acts as a knowledge-building platform. IMTF is registered as an international non-profit association in Germany, where its main office is. For  its advisory services and events, IMTF works closely with the Arts Investment Forum (AIF), an international knowledge-resource on the arts for change-makers which operates under Swiss non-profit law.
